Tuition

The cost of the 11 day festival is €880 and does NOT include food (lunch & dinner), hotel, and the cost of airfare to and from Austria. If you wish to attend the festival as an auditor, the tuition is €400.

Tuition covers the following:

€700 - general tuition (faculty, coaching, administration)
€180 - use of all rehearsal and concert facilities and excursions

Additional Fees:

€220 - meal plan* (see below)
€200 - €300 hotel accommodation (see accommodations page)
€130 - Transportation to and from the festival (see travel information page)

* Optional: meals are optional for all participants at the festival. If you wish to take care of meal costs separately, you are free to do so. But please note that the festival will not be responsible for your meals and that you will be responsible for the payment of your meals at every lunch and dinner the festival holds.

Costs not factored into the tuition are housing, food and transportation within Austria. These are costs that are handled by the festival participant separately. The festival will assist in the reservation of hotels in Liesing, but the payment of those accommodations are to be handled by the participant at the end of the festival when checking out.

Meal Plan

AlpenKammerMusik offers a meal plan for both lunch and dinner. The cost of food for the duration of the festival (including dinner on Monday evening of the 9th) is €220 (roughly €10 euros per meal) and can be paid directly to the festival in addition to the tuition fee. The advantage of the meal plan is that it is a one time payment, and you will not have to worry about meal payments throughout the duration of the festival. The meal plan covers lunch and dinner as well as beverages such as water and basic juices. You are responsible for additional drinks (ie. wine, beer, colas...etc.) that are not included in the meal plan price. The meal plan fee is non-refundable after July 1, 2010.

Breakfast is NOT included in the meal plan. All hotels in Liesing include breakfast as part of their daily rate. For more information on hotels, be sure to read our hotel accommodations page.

Family & Friends

The cost of tuition covers the attending student only. If you would like to bring along family and/or friends, costs are separate from the main tuition. However the festival is family friendly and is happy to work with each student to help accommodate their needs. Please contact the festival if you plan to bring additional people besides yourself, as they can either attend as an additional instrumentalist at the festival or they can attend as an observer.

Tuition Due Date

All fees & tuition are due by June 1, 2010. In the case of a request for a refund after payment, we allow a 100% refund up until June 15, 2010. Between June 16 and July 1, we allow for a 50% refund and after July 1st, no refund is allowed. There is also no refund for the meal plan after July 1st, 2010.

Important: If you are paying the full tuition fee including the meal plan, you will need to pay a tuition fee of €880. If you wish to handle food costs separately and forgo the meal plan, you will need to pay a tuition fee of €880.
