Travel Information

You will need to arrive in Liesing sometime during the day on Tuesday, July 12th and leave Sunday, July 24th. The festival will arrange round-trip transportation to and from Liesing and Munich International Airport (Franz Josef Strauss). The bus will depart Munich airport between 3pm and 4pm on Tuesday, July 12, arriving into Liesing at roughly 8pm. For the return trip back, plan on having your flight leave Munich no earlier than 1pm on the 24th, as the bus trip to Munich is at least 4 hours long and will not leave before 7am that day. The cost of the bus trip between Munich and Liesing is 130 euros (65 euros per direction).

If you wish to reach Liesing on your own, airports to fly into are Salzburg, Klagenfurt, Trieste, Venice or Munich. You are responsible for getting to Liesing from the airport.

Important Note: It is not advised that you land in Vienna on the day before the beginning of the festival, as it is a 6-7 hour train ride from Vienna.
